About

Menswear - Designer, Consultant, Stylist

Clare Fazal graduated at Harrow University of Westminster in fashion design and continued at the prestigious Royal College of Art on the MA course in London, specializing in technical menswear. After leaving the RCA and awarded the Alfred Dunhill scholarship, fazal's interest and love of music, history, film and the arts, generated working relationships for conceptual design / ideas for project based work for TV film and stage.

Londons underground music scene transcended the early roots of Persons Unknown menswear, a hidden gem of multimedia, graphics/art and working with discerning individuals in 'made to measure' within music and fashion. Approached by the Japanese giant comic Manga Entertainment UK. Clare designed an exclusive Manga range to showcase alongside its first UK Art exhibition at the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton London. Having shown great interest in Clares talent David Bowie developed a friendship with Clare in collaboration for the Brit Awards and the Persons Unknown menswear label. This was advertised on Bowienet.

The Persons Unknown label showcased a live catwalk show at the music venue Shepherds Bush Empire in London, alongside a 12 piece orchestra band. The success of the show followed further catwalk shows/events in London. These collections showcased amongst new emerging brands and leading fashion designers; Dunhill, Paul Smith, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood,  Kenzo, Maharishi, Levis, Dolce & Gabbana and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Fazal's interest for British menswear in its history combines her skills and respect in the traditional craftmanship of mens tailoring bringing together a fresh and contemporary approach in menswear. Innovation in fabrics, clever cut in details and printed textiles features in her collections.
